I love to shop. That’s always been a true statement about me.  I used to be a buyer for a big department store in Chicago and bought women’s clothes.  I spent a lot of my time in the market, New York and LA, and the Far East,, shopping for the right clothes for my customers. When I moved to California, I got my dream job (at the time) as Director of the Personal Shopping Department for I.Magnin, a very classy store.  So I shopped for my clients- and I trained other personal shoppers to shop for their clients.

How does my love of shopping help you?

As your home mortgage expert, shopping is a skill, as well as a talent.  What you’re shopping for really doesn’t matter, the skill set is  the same.  Listening to your clients, knowing the marketplace,  and matching your client’s needs with the market’s offerings.  With my background in managing home loans, being able to predict trends, like whether rates are going up or down, or whether pink will sell better than purple, is really what’s important.

Paying attention to the details – and how they apply to your product at hand. Having the resources as your expert mortgage broker to search out the unusual,  or the perfect.  And there is the thrill of the chase, knowing exactly what you want, searching for it, and finding it!

Now I shop for home loans and I love it! My clients are very important to me, because what I do for them can affect their lives in a big way. It may seem like it’s just numbers, but when those numbers can save you $650 a month, or more, it’s big.  Or cut your closing costs by $5,000.  Or get your loan closed, and your dream house realized, when no one thought it could happen.  Those are important events that make my home loan clients – and me – very happy! And that’s why my mortgage clients stick with me.

I say “Your Personal Mortgage Consultant…for Life!!!” because I mean it.  I want to work with you as long as you have a house and make sure that your loan is always the best for you.  I will keep in touch with you and make sure you’re happy with your loan.

Now what do I do when I’m not shopping for the best rates and terms for you? Hopefully I’m out riding my big dressage horse, Hal.  (His registered Dutch Warmblood name is Halleluyah – and there’s a story about that – ask me sometime). We do dressage and we love to ride on the trails.  He’s fond of moving cows around too if available.

When I’m not riding, I might be out working on my roses.  Shopping again, I kept finding more roses I liked – there are so many.  So 56 rosebushes later, I have a lot of pruning to do.

Travel is big on my list, and I’ve been a lot of places, and plan on going to many more. Portugal, Iceland, and Greece are next on my list, not necessarily in that order. Reading, golf and occasional poker games take up the rest of my spare time.  And, if I didn’t mention it, shopping!
